About
The CMA Foundation is the charitable arm of CMA that serves as a link between physicians and their communities. The Foundation champions individual and community health through a partnership of leaders in medicine, related health professions, and the community. CMA Foundation projects address pressing public health issues by providing leadership in crucial and emerging health issues, strengthening the ability of physicians to work with diverse communities, and enabling physicians to provide the best care possible to their patients through various outlets, including training opportunities and access to cutting edge materials and resources.
The CMA Foundation’s activities focus in the areas of diabetes, obesity, antibiotic resistance, cervical cancer, health disparities, workforce issues and access to care. The Foundation also provides medical student community leadership grants to support health-related educational, advocacy, community service, and other outreach programs that enhance the well-being of California communities.
