The CMA Alliance (CMAA), established in 1929, is the largest volunteer arm of the CMA and is the largest organization representing the family of medicine in California. The Alliance is a network of physicians, physicians’ spouses, domestic partners, medical students and friends of medicine, representing all stages of the medical lifestyle, from training years to retirement.
The CMA Alliance is a part of a federation that includes County Alliances and the American Medical Association Alliance. There are 15 active County Alliances. These local Alliances provide leadership and resources for community health education and services in their respective communities.
