Sacramento- On the heels of the Governor Brown’s announcement that he and representatives from the Millionaire’s Tax initiative had come to an agreement to combine efforts, California Medical Association CEO Dustin Corcoran issued the following statement:
“The tentative deal announced today makes it more likely that California will have a budget solution in the future that works to protect vital services. A balanced approach to the budget is drastically overdue and our hope is that this new measure will help to ensure health care programs are funded and functional for patients across California.”
CMA officially endorsed Governor Brown’s initiative last month, while opposing the Millionaire’s Tax plan. The organization, representing 35,000 physicians across the state, will swiftly move to take a position on the new measure.
