What is Podcasting?
Podcasting is audio broadcasting on the Internet. Despite its name, you do not need an iPod to listen to a podcast. You can listen to podcasts using a web browser, music software such as Windows’ built-in Media Player, or an MP3 player (iPods are MP3 players manufactured by Apple).
How do I Listen to a Podcast?
You can listen to a podcast in any number of ways.
Listen Online
Just click on the link of any podcast episode and it will automatically start playing. It may take a few seconds for the audio to start, depending on the speed of your internet connection.
Subscribe
Subscribing to a podcast means you’ll get the newest episodes of your favorite podcasts as soon as they're available. To do so, you’ll need to music software such as Apple’s iTunes or Yahoo!’s Music Engine. New shows will be automatically downloaded to your computer when they’re published. If you have an MP3 player, new podcast episodes will automatically be downloaded when you sync your device.

If you want to save a particular episode to your computer, just right-click on the episode link and select “save” or “save link as” you will be prompted to select a location to save the file.
