If you are planning to attend the 2016 Western Health Care Leadership Academy in San Francisco next month, make sure to register by April 20 to secure the lowest available prices. After that date, late registration prices will apply.

This conference is definitely one you won't want to miss. We have a dynamic lineup of keynote speakers, including Atul Gawande, M.D., MPH;  a MacArthur “Genius” Fellowship winner, a New Yorker columnist and an author. Most of all, however, he is a physician, with a practitioner’s grasp of the everyday challenges of health care delivery.

If you register with a VIP upgrade, you will also enjoy an "up close and personal" experience with some of our keynote speakers, including Dr. Gawande. You will have a once in a lifetime chance to ask him questions face-to-face in an exclusive setting. VIPs also receive express conference check-in, preferred seating and other perks.

In his recent book Being Mortal, Dr. Gawande explains that medical practice and philosophy have not kept pace with the changes in health care over the last hundred years. We need reform – and he is on a lifelong search to discover what shape that reform should take. What does an effective health care system look like in the 21st century? How can we improve quality, manage risk and measure performance more effectively? Dr. Gawande brings an eloquence and an intellect to these questions that allow him to offer deeply considered and beautifully expressed solutions with implications for health care and beyond.
