The California Medical Association (CMA) and the CMA Foundation invite you to attend the 2012 President's Reception and Awards Gala. We will be honoring Paul Phinney, M.D., CMA's President-Elect; the Robert D. Sparks, M.D., Leadership Achievement Award Recipient; and the Adarsh S. Mahal, M.D., Access to Health Care & Disparities Award Recipient.
This annual awards dinner is hosted in conjunction with the CMA’s House of Delegates meeting. Together the CMA and CMAF honor leaders in both organizations. This event hosts more than 600 California physician leaders, key staff from both the CMA and CMAF, the national and state healthcare stakeholders.
James Denton of "Desperate Housewives" fame, backed by a celebrity band, will headline the Gala. This exciting event will feature a live and silent auction. A delicious farm-to-table meal and fine wines will also be served.
Gala attendees will also be treated to a VIP meet and greet with the celebrity cover band, Band From TV, including:

- Greg Grunberg (drums), star of “Alias,” “Felicity” and “Heroes”
- Bob Guiney (vocals), star of “The Bachelor” and TLC’s “Date My House”

- Scott Grimes (keyboards), star of “ER” and “American Dad”
Patrick House, winner of the 2010 season of the “The Biggest Loser,” will also speak.
