The following statements were from medical and dental families in trouble who called the Help Line.

"I thought I was all alone-no other doctor's wife would admit that her family has this problem either."

"Our home is in foreclosure. Retirement used. What do I do now?"

"My wife is a physician. She is also an alcoholic. Where can we get help?"

"One doctor says, he's booked every 7 minutes. He can't practice good medicine that way."

"She may be a perfect doctor, but she's far from perfect at home."

"I don't want to jeopardize my husband's medical practice, but if our family doesn't get help soon, I'll go crazy. Isn't there someplace we can get help?"

"Why does he care more for his patients than his family?"

"My husband says, 'I work hard all day. I deserve a few drinks to relax. Get off my back.'"
