CMA Sections
CMA “sections” include the Medial Student Section, the Young Physicians Section, the Resident and Fellow Section, and the Young Physicians Section. Membership in these sections is automatic, and is determined by your membership type. Each section has a democratically elected governing council and is allotted a fixed number of delegates to the CMA House of Delegates, as specified in the CMA Bylaws.
CMA Mode of Practice Forums
CMA’s Mode of Practice Forums include the Solo and Small-Group Practice Forum, the Medium Group Practice Forum, the Large Group Practice Forum, the Very Large Group Practice Forum, the Academic Practice Forum, the Administrative Medicine Forum, the Government-Employed Physicians Forum and the Hospital-Based Physicians Forum. Membership in these forums is determined by each member’s self-selected mode of practice.
Forum representation to the House of Delegates is determined by a "proportionate representation" formula as specified in the CMA Bylaws.
