The Council on Scientific and Clinical Affairs is the scientific and clinical advisory body to the California Medical Association, and serves as a source of scientific and clinical information for the House of Delegates, the Board of Trustees, councils and committees of the association, and other entities as deemed appropriate by the association. Activities may include, but are not limited to:
- Review and development of resolutions for the CMA House of Delegates;
- Review of scientific and clinical issues;
- Health education;
- Evaluation and comment on government regulations; and
- Response to ad hoc requests for assistance which fall within the purview of the Council.
